USA Trip

                If I really had 2 500€ I would first of all travel to New York in the late spring. The city has always amazed me with its size and height. The flight to the USA and back would approximately cost around 900€ so I would be left with 1 600€. Food and sleeping would cost around 80€ per day. At the end I would be left with 700€ for everything else.
                When I would arrive in New York city I would first go to the hotel by taxi and unpack. After I would be done with all the formalities at the hotel I would go to the Central park. After a relaxing walk around the park I would take a taxi to the Empire State building, to see the magnificent of the city. And I truly hope that the view would be as incredible as I imagined. The next few days I would walk around the city doing some sightseeing, for example Fifth Avenue, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Ellis Island, Wall Street and to top it all of a NBA game in Madison Square Garden. For all this things I would have taken taxis or the Subway. This would be the end of week one and I suppose I would have had spent at least 300€. With the 400€ left I would book a flight to Miami. There I would not do much sightseeing but I would enjoy the early summer on the beach. At night I would go to the clubs and at day I would be on the beach. Maybe I would buy some souvenirs, depending on the money I would have had left before the flight back home.

Hello everyone,

It is the last day of this beautiful month and it is raining, so there is not much I can do today.  I was occupied in the morning but as the day progressed I ran out of things to do, so I decided to write another blog. But the thing is I just can’t come up with a good idea to write about. Maybe it is this weather that is going on for almost 4 days. It has gotten me in some kind of passive state. I am to lazy to do actually anything at home. So I just watch series and talk with my friends on team speak.  Oh and we play games these days when we can’t go outside. For the last month we played a game called League of Legends. The game is quiet fun and keeps you occupied for a few hours, which is normally enough so the bad weather passes and we can go out for a drink, movie or just to hang out. After the rain passes today we are probably going out for a drink and even go watch the new movie Hangover 3 which is supposed to be an awesome movie.  When I come back from the movie I will blog about it so for anyone who will not see it be aware of spoilers.

In with the new, out with the old

I chose a topic like that to talk about all the things we buy and replace the old with. However new is not always better. For instance is the music these days really better then the oldies. My father would very much disagree with me on that. He is more a oldies fan. The bands like The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Vaya con Dios, Pink Floyd and others like that. Now I am more of an new electronic type of guy. I still like bands like my father but if I have the choice I listen to djs. My favorites are Hardwell, Dyro, Afrojack, Avici and more. But the question is still is the new music really better then the old. That question I will leave for all of you to discuss in the comment section.

Today is the 25th of may and it is a rainy day so I am stuck in my room till the evening. I got bored of all the series and social media so I google what happened on this day and the results were quiet astonishing.

Famous people born on that day were:  Ginny Simms in 1916 (singer), Claude Akins in 1926 (actor), Jeanne Crain in 1925 (actress), Kitty Kallen in 1926 (singer), Ian McKellen in 1939 (actor), Klaus Meine in 1958 (Musician in the band Scorpions) and many more.

On the 25th of may in 1935 Babe Ruth had his final homerun and made a record with 714 which stood for 39 years.

1953 in Nevada the first atomic cannon was fired.

1997 the U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond became the longest-serving senator in the history with 41 years and 10 months. Also in the same year Poland adopted a constitution which removed all traces of communism from there legal system.

In 2001 Erik Weihenmeyer 32 years old became the first blind climber who reached the summit of Mount Everest. Sherman Bull 64 years old was in the same year the oldest climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

Alcoholic Food Recipes

These days there are many ways to mix alcoholic beverages with food. Some are quite impressive and others are just simple. I have looked over fifty recipes and chose the top three that I thought were the most ingenious. I hope you like the top three

The first one is called the Burning Booze Bite. This alcoholic flavored dessert is a chocolate cupcake with a hollowed strawberry filled with liquor. This kind of deserts is mostly intended for special occaions like date night, valentine days or just to make something special after dinner. For the recipe you need cocoa powder, flour, cream and splashes of vodka, rum or tequila which depends on the persons taste.

Party Grub: Homemade Peanut Butter Cups with Bourbon are the ultimate party treats. All you need is ½package of milk or dark chocolate chips, 1 shot of bourbon, 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, 3 tablespoons of vegetable shortening, ½ cup of confectioner’s sugar and ½ teaspoon of salt. First you line up 12-cup muffin tin paper liners. You pour the bourbon and the chocolate chips in and place them over a very low heat, stiring them until the mixture is smooth. In a bowl combine the other ingredients and add them in the cups. For the final touch and the first mixture and you have an amazing cupcake.

For the last one I chose a beverage called watermelon mojito. It is not the regular drink that you could find everywhere and that is why I chose it. You need 2 cups of chunked watermelon, ¼ cup of syrup, ¼ cup of fresh lime juice, 4 ounces of light rum, ice, club soda and 10 good sized sprigs of fresh mint. The best way to make it is to throw it all into a blender, except of the fresh mint. You serve it in a normal glass with mint on top. It is best on hot summer night or just to enjoy a refreshing beverage.

Hello everyone,

My name as you can all se is Matic Vodošek. And as you may know, I come from a small but important European country called Slovenia. To be more specific I live in a village near Maribor which name is Marjeta. There is not much you can do in my home town. We have a sport park which includes a basketball court a soccer field and a volleyball court. In my free time I spent most time on the basketball court as it is my favorite sport. I also play other sport like volleyball, tennis and soccer. Running, cycling and hiking are also a good way to spend your time away from the computer. However, when the winter comes I just have to go skiing. When I do not do sport I just love to watch series. My favorite are How I Met your Mother, Happy Endings, Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory, Scrubs ( which ended in 2009, but I still watch them on television) and Two and a Half Men. Other then sports and movies I like to hang out with my friends in Graz as my friends in Slovene.
